According to reports, Toyota's self-driving company Woven Planet recently acquired Silicon Valley-based automotive operating system startup Renovo Motors, which will be integrated into Woven Planet's existing operating structure. The exact terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
Renovo has developed an automotive operating system called AWare OS to run applications related to autonomous driving, mapping and other mobility services, which is the equivalent of Android on smartphones.
Earlier this year, Woven Planet also acquired mapping startup Carmera and Level 5, Lyft's self-driving division.
