On October 5, BYD and Levo Mobility LLC (Levo) jointly announced that they will integrate Nuvve Holding's (Nuvve) vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology with BYD's electric vehicle technology. Levo plans to purchase up to 5,000 V2G-enabled BYD medium and heavy-duty all-electric vehicles over five years, including buses, coaches, yard tractors, trailers, sanitation trucks, last-mile logistics vehicles and school buses.
The program will leverage Nuvve's V2G technology through Levo, along with Stonepeak Partners LP and Evolve Transition Infrastructure LP capital, to provide complete financial services to fleet owners and operators.
Up to now, BYD's pure electric bus and cab footprint has spread across six continents, more than 50 countries and regions, and more than 300 cities around the world. Among them, BYD has delivered more than 65,000 pure electric buses worldwide.
